"WHAT IS ABOVE, IS BELOW" (Zohar)

THis one-of-a-kind weaving/mixed-media assemblage reflects the concept in the Kabbalistic mystical tradition that anything that is manifest comes from the spiritual divine wisdom and thought. It also reflects the law of interdependency, for we here below , through our actions, effect the harmony and light that shines. This artwork is made of silk, mohair and metallic fibers with batik dyed cloth; on hammered and rolled copper sheets; on maple burl wood; with copper wire Tree of Life ('etz hayyim') with glass leaves; papyrus; Hebrew calligraphy;abalone;Hamsech (Hand-of-G-d); stone birds;and tallit. 64"L x 42"H x 8"D.
