WOMEN AT THE WALL:A Sanctuary of Peace

This is a 3-demensionl, free standing, one-of-a-kind weaving/mixed-media assemblage of silk, wool and metallic fibers (the women) on cut copper tubes; on rolled and stressed copper sheeting; on rough cut maple burl wood w/ handmade batik papers, wooden birds, blue cut stone with Magen David, glass beads, Hebrew "Shema", Jewish prayer shawl and peoples prayers of peace on rolled papyrus. It draws its inspiration from Psalm 36:8 "Create O G-d, a sanctuary of peace..." and is the symbolic container for all our cries, lamentations, please, exaltations, prayers and gratitude of women from a multude of places, religions and times. 8'W x 4'H x 3'D
