PRAISE GOD

This weaving/mixed-media assemblage of weaving of reconstituted silk, mohair and metallic fibers combined with fabric, and found objects of copper scroll and a variety of animals, plants and symbols of creation. It is based on Psalm 148: " Praise God, sun and moon,... high and low, etc...". Place and nature have a strong and abiding presence in Jewish tradition, and this tapestry is a response to the beauty of the natural in God's creations and the awe in the multiplicity of forms and materials that make up this magnificient earth.
