A CLOUD BY DAY AND A PILLAR OF FIRE BY NIGHT

This one-of-a-kind weaving/mixed media tapestry is the companion piece to "And God Spoke froma Fiery Mountain". The cloud and the fire were mentioned in Torah in Exodus 19:20; 40:38) and Numbers (9:16) describing the peoples' wanderings from slavery through the wilderness. It signaled when to halt and when to proceed on their journery of liberation. The cloud protects and the pillar of fire reminds that even in the darkest of times, new discoveries and greatness will shine with God's light and partnership. 3'W x 4'H x 3"D Materials: weaving of silk, wool and metallic fibers; ceramic Magen David Star of David); sculptural pillar of weaving and tubing; Hebrew lettering.
