THE BURNING BUSH: "I am that I am"

This mixed-media assemblage of reconstituted silk, wool and metallic fibers w/ cut batik and found objects of glass and metal beads with Magen David on brass and with Hebrew lettering in a shadowbox is based on the one of the most dramatic images in Torah, the blazing bush that Moses encounters in the wilderness that is not consumed. God speaks to Moses is response to his questions about God's essense: Heb. "Ehyeh-Asher-Ehyeh", "I am that I am". 26"W x30"H x 3"D
