WOMEN AT THE WALL: A Call for Peace

An interactive weaving/mixed-media artwork. It calls upon all peoples of the earth to act in consort for harmony and peace. The variety of forms and materials used: silk, metallic & mohair yarns, wood, copper, onyx, glass, abalone, hsnd-made papers, papyrus, and Hebrew, reflects the diversity in our world, the interweavings of our struggles and the creative outpourings of the human spirit.Individual prayers of peace are left on the work by viewers. It was a featured work at the United Nations exhibit, "Miracles of Peace", in 2003 and has traveled to other locations throughout the USA. 8' W x 4'L x 3' D
